It’s effective since yesterday : Goojet has signed an agreement with Bouygues Telecom to be promoted on their mobile portal i-mode. It’s for us the first time we have such an agreement with a telco operator. Bouygues Telecom is among the major ones in France and is known to have innovated a lot concerning the mobile Internet so it’s a pleasure for us to be referenced by them. When you look at some other applications that are promoted on i-mode, you can find well known players such as Windows Live Messenger or Google Maps. Not bad to be next to them for a start-up like us!
Thanks to this agreement, we’re happy to welcome on Goojet all the mobile web users from Bouygues Telecom who will discover a new way to access and manage web content on their mobile phones.
Thanks a lot to the Bouygues Telecom team for their trust in Goojet and we hope it is the start of a long partnership with them and why not also the start of a long series of partnerships with French or European telco operators.
If you want more information about this deal, you can read our press release.

Marc Rougier et Guillaume Decugis (respectively President and CEO of Goojet) are currently in San Francisco to present Goojet at two major American Conference and use this opportunity to meet American partners, investors, journalists etc…

The first one is Under The Radar : Mobility and is taking place today (November, 12th) in San Francisco. 32 start-ups in the mobile business will present what they’re doing in front of journalists, investors, high executives from tech companies… All these start-ups have been tested and validated by the experienced Under the Radar team what gives a huge value to be among the lucky selected companies. Previous companies that presented during an Under The Radar event are some like Flickr, iLike or Admob… not so bad for Goojet to be there isn’t it ?

The second one is called Euro Tech Showcase and will be held in San Francisco on November 18-19. The idea of the conference is to have in the same place the most innovative and interesting start-ups from the two side of the atlantic : 80 startups from the US and 50 from Europe were invited to speak. Goojet is one of them ! And in “Bonus” each start-up gets five one to one meetings with high executivesfrom bug tech american companies such as Google,Nokia, HP etc…
This “US Trip” for Goojet is a sign we give : after 6 months of public beta testing, Goojet (the company AND the product) is now ready to enter in a new development phase… That’s why its was the good timing also to publish a new Press Release concerning this International Recognition of Goojet.
Goojet keeps on progressing and offers you a release with 2 huge improvements especially on the mobile side: now, you can put an infinite number of goojets in your homepage and you are also able to search and add goojets directly from your mobile phone!
So, forget difficult choices to pick only 7 goojets for your first page or to organize your goojets in folders, etc… Now you can have directly on the first page as many goojets as you want! Obviously folders still exist but it’s a “power user” function: to send several goojets to friends at once, or for the order maniacs we love
A small preview of this new version :

The 3 permanent icons at the top let you easily reach your profile, our suggestions and the useful new search function. We know you have been waiting for it for a long time! Because there will always be goojets you won’t have in your mobile when you’ll need it, you are now able to search and add it in one click only.
Of course, we’re also bringing with this update some other stuff: some (more and more rare) bugs fixes, we’ve improved the design of the catalogue and of some goojets (gallery and Flickr), the invitation by adding your address book is available again…
We released this week a new version of Goojet with some enhancements :
Major improvements
- Anonymous portal access : it is now possible to test and use Goojet on the web on the PC without having to be registered to the service. Everything is not accessible of course (parts of Goojet such as contacts, messages, comments on notes or walls are disabled, no creation of Goojet etc…). To test Goojet without registration, it’s here.
- Blackberry Runtime : finally a dedicated version of Goojet for the Blackberry handsets. After lots of requests from users (and lot of work from our side) we are happy to propose Goojet to people with a Blackberry. With this improvement, we now support Blackberry, Iphone and more 400 java-based handsets so that almost everyone can use Gooejt on its phone !
Miscellaneous :
- Mail notifications can now be managed on goojet.com
- Much more goojets coming from partners
- Search Engine Optimization for the goojets
- Various text changes on the portal and on window design
- Search for goojets has been improved a lot
- Goojets can now be shared to non-registered users
- Various debugging of course
- (And also lots of differents things improved in our back office that you cannot see : stats, content manager, “Goojy”etc…)
We just put on line a new version which brings lots of novelties and modifications. Here is the list, almost exhaustive, of the changes.
As you’ll see in this list, most of them are our answers to your feedback (by email, via Goojy, on the forum, here on the blog or via twitter), so keep on giving us the same again! If you don’t see in this list what you absolutely need on Goojet, it will surely be released the next time. Anyway tell it us in a comment !

It is available since a few days but we had to test it and to verify that everything was ok before making any communication concerning it. It is now ok : for all of you that have an Iphone (or an Ipod Touch but some communication tools such as SMS, calls etc… won’t run on it), we have a specific version of Goojet. It is not a java-based application of course (no java on Iphone) but a version that runs in the Iphone browser.
The only thing you need is to go to www.goojet.com on your Iphone.
No more waiting, here are some screenshots of the Iphone version of Goojet.

Contact list and messages :

Some of you could ask where is the interest of an Iphone version of Goojet :
- Goojet it is having web services on a mobile phone, but it is also the sharing, the collaborative use of the services. With such possibilities, it is clera that we need Goojet to be usable on any kind of phone. Because if you want to use it with your friends, you don’t have to care about what phone he uses.
- The goojets’ catalog, the fact that everything is also usable on the web, the goojet sharing, the event-driven goojets etc… all these feature concerning the event and the community parts of Goojet are new, whatever the phone is, so we are sure we bring some value to the Iphones.
This Iphone version still needs some improvements. Do not hesitate to comment it, to tell us what you don’t like, what we have to improve etc…

It’s the launch ! Goojet opens today in public with the new version.
We’re not going to write a long text for this opening, because we’ll write another one with more explanations very soon. The thing you have to keep in mind before connecting to the service is that : with Goojet, you can discover, select and share the best from the web as widgets that run on both PC and Mobile.
You had seen the screenshots in a previous post, it is now time for you to finally use it. And, since it is public, you will have the possibility to invite lots of people arround you. It is pretty simple what you have to say to them : Move your web ! From the PC to the Mobile, from you to your friends, change the way you’re using the internet !
We would like to thank all our beta users : it is thanks to them, thanks to their feedbacks and comments that we could see what was missing in the demo version of December. This new version is so Your version, and we hope you will enjoy it.
It is not necessary to say that you are all invited to tell us your questions, your comments. You can do it either here with a comment, or by sending a message to “goojy” within Goojet.
See you soon on Goojet.

Did you know that some of the Goojet team members were also blogging on their own blogs ?
We invite you today to read these blogs, and of course it is not about their private stories but about Goojet, seen in their eyes.
The first one is Sylvain. He is the CTO of Goojet and is blogging on bluxte.net mainly about technical issues. In a recent article, Sylvain explains on his blog the various techniques used at Goojet to ensure snappy responses to user actions. The characteristics of mobile networks are effectively quite different from what we’re used to on classical landline connections. Taking those differences into account is key to reduce latency and improve the experience of mobile web users.
If you’re more into marketing or interested in the web new trends, there is also Cédric, marketing manager at Goojet, that is blogging (in French) on www.cedricgiorgi.com. In a recent post, Cedric was publishing the presentation he made at a conference, talking about mobile viral marketing. If the subject is interesting you, here are the slides (in English) :
It has been disclosed on Tuesday 15th during a conference that took place in Malta : Goojet isone of the winners of the Red Herring Top 100 Europe.
For those of you who don’t know it, it is an award given par Red Herring, an american media company. Each year, they select best start-ups from all over the world in the high-tech field. They have differents categories and one of them is Europe.
Among previous winners of a Red Herring Award, we can find ebay, Skype or even google ! You can so understand why it is such a pleasur for us to have such a price this year.
Getting this award is giving the whole team more motivation to finalize the new version of Goojet, coming before the summer…
